CLINICAL TRIALS FOR WEIGHT LOSS

1. What is the cost of the Laser Sessions for Weight Loss?
The cost of the procedure is $400.00 for a five session package.  $89.00 for individual booster sessions. (ask about current specials)

2. How many laser sessions are required?
We offer a recommend five laser session package: one initial session, one session usually 48 to 72 hours later, and one session each week for the following three weeks.  The total number of sessions will vary depending on the amount of weight a client wants to lose. The average is anywhere between 5 to 14 sessions.

3. How long does the laser session take?
The laser session itself takes about 45 minutes, but please allow about an hour and a half  for your first appointment to review information about our clinical trial.

4. Does it hurt?
No! Low level laser therapy is completely painless.
In fact, most people describe an extremely relaxed feeling after being treated.

5.  Does insurance cover this procedure?
Insurance does not cover the procedure at this time, since it is still investigational.

6. How does the laser work?
The light energy of the laser is absorbed by skin and cells by stimulation of acupuncture points.  It stimulates your nerve endings to produce endorphins.  Endorphins are produced normally by your body and are nature’s own mood lifter and anesthetic.  The protocol is currently studying the production of endorphins which help alleviate the cravings for junk food, boost metabolism, and suppress appetite.

7. Where do you place the laser?
The laser is placed on various acupuncture points on the body around the ears, hands, wrists, knee and top of feet.

8.  If I have a medical condition, can I still receive low level laser therapy?
If you are pregnant, have a history of severe psychological illness or cancer, are light sensitive, or undergoing chemo or radiation we regret that you will not be able to participate in our clinical research trial at this time. If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact your doctor before visiting us.

9. If I have a pacemaker, can I do this treatment?
We have had no problems with any clients that had a pacemaker, though we would suggest that you contact your doctor prior to being treated.

10. Is the laser session performed by a doctor?
The laser session is performed by a certified laser technician.

11. I have never heard of this procedure, who else does this?
Low level laser has been available in Europe, Canada & some Asian countries for over 20 years. We are one of the first Laser centers to offer this clinical research trial in Oklahoma.  Call to see if you qualify.

12.  I am currently doing Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, LA Weight loss etc… can I still qualify for the laser protocol?  YES!  Meal plans and Active lifestyles are vital to healthy weight control.  We encourage the combination of a reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity with your Low level laser therapy.
